‘Ksan Historical Village and Museum

Experience the rich history and living culture of the Gitxsan people at 'Ksan Historical Village & Museum. This Gitxsan cultural centre features seven replicated longhouses, beautifully carved totem poles, museum exhibits, ancient artifacts and a gift shop showcasing works by local artists and locally inspired goods. Visitors are welcome to stay overnight at the neighbouring full-service Ksan campground.

WHERE THE RIVERS MEET
Located where the Skeena and Bulkley Rivers meet, the 'Ksan site is an important gathering and trading area for Indigenous peoples for generations; many special events are held on its grounds including their annual Cultural Days celebration in early August. The site reflects the traditional layout of a historic Gitxsan village, with longhouses and totem poles facing the river. |
