FridaySpend the day walking and taking in the views around Historic Old Hazelton. Grab the Historic Walking Guide and spot the historic buildings from this community's pioneering past. Take a stroll along the boardwalk next to the Skeena River. Finish the tour of Old Hazelton with a cup of local, micro-custom roasted coffee from Mercedes Beans.
SaturdayHead back into New Hazelton over the Hagwilget Canyon Bridge and stop at the Skeena Bakery to grab some fresh baked goods to go. Head over to Ross Lake Provincial Park and eat as much as your heart desires while enjoying magnificent mountain backdrop views.
Be sure to check out some of the local trails or head to the museum to learn about Hazeltons Pioneer history. If you're feeling hungry stop into Zelda's Travel Mug Cafe for breakfast, lunch, afternoon sweet treats or dinner with coffees, craft beers or wines. |
SundayStart your Sunday morning off at the Hazeltons Farmers Market. Guests can sample and take home delicious prepared and ready-to-eat foods, including baked goods, jellies and preserves and barbecued meals as well as a variety of fresh meats, eggs, and produce.. find an eclectic array of original, locally-produced artwork, photography and hand-crafted items by artisans who live in the Hazeltons and region.
Spend the rest of your day exploring some of the near by provincial parks, fishing one of the plentiful rivers or lakes, or have a cultural experience finding totem poles around the historic region. The Hazeltons have something for everyone, whether you prefer exploring the local trails or want to learn about the region's history in one of the museums. |
